Issue/Introduction

A step-by-step instructional guide on component wide isolation for Symantec Endpoint Protection(SEP) features via Control Panel.

Environment

Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.3.x

Resolution

During troubleshooting, components wise isolation can be followed using below method.

1. Open Control Panel and select Programs > Programs and Features.
2. Find Symantec Endpoint Protection and right click > select Change and on the new pop up window select Modify.
   
   
3. Modify the feature by selecting the desired action.

For example: To remove Intrusion Prevention feature

Note: Every feature uninstallation/installation may require reboot.

Make sure to revert SEP to its original state once affected component is identified, as core feature configuration doesn't provide any protection.
