File ddict.sch Overwritten After Upgrade

Issue/Introduction

It is observed that after upgrade or running pdm_configure that customization variables are missing from ddict.sch

You can confirm this by comparing older versions of ddict.sch to the current version.

Environment

CA Service Desk Manager 17.3 and 17.4

Cause

Version control and pdm_configure are both possible reasons ddict.sch is overwritten

Resolution

To update ddict.sch in a AA environment:

1.  Go to NX_ROOT\site folder on each server

2.  Rename the existing ddict.sch name and extension (example ddictxyz.123sch)

Do not delete the original ddict.sch

3.  Copy the working copy of ddict.sch from a similar environment to the NX_ROOT\site folder

4.  Restart the SDM environment

Stop each application server, then stop standby server, then stop background server

Start background, standby, application servers

5.  Run pdm_webcache -h
