Cloud proxy service not starting

Issue/Introduction

After following the steps to install the cloud proxy, the service does not start with error

Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly

 

Environment

Release : SAAS

Resolution

None of the log files might not show any error on why the service is not starting.

In order to see why the service is not starting, open a command prompt and run

apmservices.cloudproxy.bat

This return the following

Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx4096m

The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size.

Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.

Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit

The server only had JRE 32bit installed.

Uninstall the JRE 32bit and install JRE 64bit
