Issue/Introduction

Service Catalog is not saving changes to the offering permission. 

Service Catalog\logs\view.log shows:


INFO  [https-jsse-nio-9443-exec-4] [EiamPermission] Property {acgroups} was not considered
ERROR [https-jsse-nio-9443-exec-4] [EiamPermission] Error creating/applying ACL
java.lang.NullPointerException: null
    at com.ca.usm.user.security.EiamPermission.assignPermissions(EiamPermission.java:1666) [common.core.jar:17.3.0.1.99]
    at com.ca.usm.user.security.Permission.assignPermissions(Permission.java:392) [common.core.jar:17.3.0.1.99]

Environment

Service Catalog 17.4

Resolution

Try restarting the Service Catalog service(s).

If the issue remains, please submit a new Broadcom Support case and provide the following:

1. Increase the log level of Catalog to TRACE

2. Increase the log level for the Catalog EEM SDK logs

3. Reproduce the issue from Catalog UI and provide a screenshot where we can see the offering being changed.

4. Provide:

4.1 view.log

4.2 timestamp of Step #3

4.3 eiam.javasdk.log

5. Provide a screenshot from Manage Access Policies > Policies > Access Policies > Offering
