Issue/Introduction

How to delete older core image(s) from Edge SWG (ProxySG) appliance?

Resolution

The method used to delete core images can be done through an advanced URL.

https://<proxyIP>:8082/CM/Core_image

Options are to Download "Details; Minicontext; or Context (full core) or Delete
To delete a core, Select <delete> button.

Additional Information

If the advanced URL returns "Requested URL cannot be found", this means there are no cores on the appliance.

Note:
The Secure Gateway Operating System (SGOS) allocates 30GB of each disk for core image file storage.
The number of core files it will store depends on the size of each core file which can vary and the number of disks in the appliance.
After the amount of disk space dedicated to storing these files has reached capacity, the unit will begin to overwrite by deleting the oldest file when a new core image is generated.
