How to Migrate Projects Between Databases and Preserve R Tags

Issue/Introduction

When migrating projects between servers, our customer was losing versions on the new server.

Customer wants to preserve R tags across the migration

Environment

Release : 13.0.3 and newer

Cause

Incorrect procedure was followed

Resolution

R tags are not migrated so the correct way to ensure R tags are preserved is to manually assign R tags on the new server.

You will check in all items, remove all R tags, and then migrate the project to the new server.

Then you will Check In on the folder above the file you are checking in you will add R tags to the project.

From here, the version will become 0 and developers can use the package from there.
