Alert for Maxpartition on PBG Tablespaces

Issue/Introduction

Is there any alert on UTS PBG tablespaces where NUMPARTS reached the MAXPARTITION value and having no size left available in Sysview for Db2?

If not, is there an IQL that can be created for that?

Release : 20.0

Resolution

The exception system has "space used" and "number of extents" exceptions, but nothing available for no space left when the MAXPARTITION value is reached on the  tablespace.

It might be worth pursuing with IBM. IBM already produces IFCID 258 when an extent is taken, and they may consider the expansion into the last available partition to be a noteworthy event. Possibly this could be an update to IFCID 258.
