Issue/Introduction

Can we schedule antimalware scan on a Linux host from the SDCS Server/UMC Console 

Environment

Release : 6.9.3

Resolution

1. From the Java Console, access Configs >Symantec > All Configs > Default Common Parameters > Communication 

  • Ensure that Real-Time Notification is enabled
  • Push the Default Common Parameters settings to your systems running the Symantec Data Center Security: Server Advanced agent

2. From your Unified Management Console, press the Unified Management Console drop-down and select Server
3.  Select Security Groups > Servers
4.  Select a security group
5.  Press Schedule Scan
6. Enter a Name for the scan
7. Select a Trigger for the scan

The following options are available as triggers:

  • Once
  • Timer
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly

8.  Press Save

9. Select Monitor > Schedules

10. Select a scheduled scan

This page lists all the scheduled scans

You can view the following information:

  • Status of the scheduled scan including when the scan was last run
  • An audit history of changes to the scheduled scan
