Issue/Introduction

Question regarding upgrading the Oracle JDBC driver version due to security issues in the use of EM DB with Oracle.

Currently  using version 10.7 SP2 with the JDBC driver version of ojdbc6-11.2.0.4.jar and we would like to upgrade to ojdbc8 12.x or later.

Also how to replace the automatically launched version of ojdbc6-11.2.0.4.jar when EM is started.

Environment

Release : 10.7.0/10.7 SP2

APM StandAlone

OS Version : Redhat 7.x

Java Version : 1.8

Oracle Version : 19c

Oracle database is installed : remote

Resolution

If customer wants to upgrade ojdbc6 to 8 for EM, it has to be go through certification approach as we have not tested  APM 10.7 with ojdbc8.

10.8 EM uses the 1.8 ojdbc driver. Alternative suggestion is to upgrade to 10.8
