Admin login when LDAP ID Store is down in VIP AuthHub AdminUI

Issue/Introduction

 

When running VIP Authentication Hub Admin Console with the external admin store (LDAP ID Store), when the external admin store gets offline, can the admins still be able to log in to the VIP Authentication Hub Console (AdminUI)?

 

Resolution

 

Indeed, if the LDAP ID Store goes offline or is unavailable, authentication will fail and prevent login.

To avoid that, an Identity Provider to function as an auxiliary (or primary) login identity source, or another id store will be helpful. Either one can be set up as another factor for redundancy.
