Issue/Introduction

Should the Common CAILIB for the Pan/SQL 2.4C product be included in the //STEPLIB or in the linklist?

 

 

Environment

Pan/SQL release 2.4C (0203)

Resolution

The Common CAILIB should not be included in the //STEPLIB or in the linklist for Easytrieve DB2 programs or JCL.
Batch jobs should include the Pan/SQL CAILIB.

For the jobs run under the Pan/SQL CICS version, please include the CICSLOAD library but do not include the Common CAILIB.

The Common CAILIB is needed for the CICS version of the installation, but it is not needed in the TSO version installation of Pan/SQL.
