Environment

Release : 17.3

Cause

Data Source was not configured correctly to the Service Management Data Source

This is the default Xtraction Data Source and not the Service Management Data Source

Resolution

In Windows, you will move the data source to the following location:

Xtraction/Data/Configuration

Then you will need to open Xtraction Data Model Editor and open the Service Management Data Model.

Once the Data Source has been added in Data Model Editor, go to Tools > Connection String Editor

Click the Box next to your data then hover your mouse to the right side of the Connection string and click the ... that appears

This will bring up the Connection Details configuration screen

Ensure the Test connection is successful

Next, click the Data Sources Folder and ensure the Active Check box is checked for the components you wish to generate reports:

Save all of this configuration

In Xtraction go to the DATA SOURCE, click the Database icon, and select your data source

Now you should be able to drag Components to your Reports
