Issue/Introduction

A typical configuration is to have load balance to distribute the traffic to a couple of Service Desk app servers. And one question that the administrators have is if they can use

pdm_webstat to see if the load balance distributes the workload evenly.

Environment

Service Desk Manager all versions

Resolution

The only way that Service Desk Manager administrators can use pdm_webstat to measure if the load balance distributes the traffice evenly is as this:

Service Desk server A and Service Desk server B start at the SAME time which means both webengines start at the SAME time and DON'T restart since then. Then administrators can use the "Cumulative sessions so far" from pdm_webstat to measure if A and B webengines get even or similar sessions.

If the above applies yes administrators can measure it using pdm_webstat

If not, administrators can't use pdm_webstat outputs to measure if the workload is distributed evenly as when one webengine restarts, the pdm_webstat data reset.
