Time stamp needs to be monitored for a file

Issue/Introduction

 We need to monitor time stamp of a file. Could you let us know how this can be achieved.

UIM : 20.4

Logmon

Resolution

You can achieve this requirement from logmon probe. A new file from beginning for the first time when "Updates" mode
is selected and "Match on every run" option is enabled. e.g. When files are monitored based on time/day using %m,%M etc.

Files: You can monitor files using the cat, full, full_time, and updates operating modes. You can monitor the files using the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path on a Windows system only.

 

Example: 

You can monitor log files that switch every day in the form of ddmmyy.log:

 

C: \Program files\mylogs\%d%m%y.log
