Issue/Introduction

Initiated a transfer from XCOM z/OS to XCOM for Windows using a UNC path and it failed with message:

XCOMN0322E Cannot access file server: A specified logon session does not exist. it may already have been terminated.

Environment

• XCOM™ Data Transport® for z/OS
• XCOM™ Data Transport® for Windows
• Windows Server

Cause

This was caused by the Local Security Policy Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication

Resolution

The problem was resolved by enabling the following Local Security Policy: Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication

1. Open the Windows Local Group Policy Editor
2. Select Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options.
3. Find and disable the Network access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials for network authentication policy
