Issue/Introduction
What are the differences between the MSULIMIT and CAPLIMIT types of Alerts in Dynamic Capacity Intelligence (DCI)?
Environment
Release : 2.0
Resolution
In MSULIMIT type alerts, DCI checks if the R4HA value is greater than a percentage ("% Limit" in Alert definition) of the "MSU Limit" value set in the Alert to trigger the alert.
In CAPLIMIT type alerts, DCI checks if the R4HA value is greater than a percentage ("% Limit" in Alert definition) of the current capping limit (Defined Capacity for an LPAR, CG-LIMIT for a Capacity Group) to trigger the alert. Note that the CAPLIMIT doesn't depend on the "MSU Limit" value set in the Alert, but only on the percentage.
