Release : 14.0
The most common high consumers of global variables are the RDF tables. Most people don't know that the RDF tables are constructed by special global variables that don't appear in the OPSVIEW panel 4.8.
A procedure to identify global variable space consumers is:
1) Go to panel 2.6 and browse a table named TABLES. Check the value of the column ROW_COUNT for an exceptionally high number. A huge RDF table can be the culprit.
2) If you don't see any big RDF table you should investigate the global variables. In this case, you should go to panel 4.8 and check all the possible global stems GLOBAL0 to GLOBAL9 and GLOBALA to GLOBALZ.
