What is the Suspend Check Interval for XCOM for AS/400 i5/OS
XCOM™ Data Transport® for AS/400 i5/OS
The suspend check interval ( SUSPNDINVL ) is for locally initiated XCOM AS/400 transfers only.
The SUSPNDINVL may be defined in the remote system profile or in the parameters for the transfer. It specifies the number of records transferred between consecutive checks to see whether the user has requested an active transfer be suspended. 200 is the default value if the parameter value is not specified.
For example:
If you specify 500 for the SUSPNDINVL, XCOM for AS/400 will send a confirmation record to the partner every 500 records to check if there has been a suspension.
This parameter is unique to XCOM on the AS/400, but there is a similar parameter on other platforms called TXPI_SEND_CHECK_FREQ which indicates the frequency at which XCOM checks to see if incoming error information, such as a suspended transfer, is available when sending data.
