How to create an email notification for an alarm in SOI?
Resolution
Please follow the below steps:
- Open the UI dashboard, then select Administration, then select Manager Configuration.

- Select Email Configuration and enter the configuration for your SMTP server
- Then on the SOI console, select tools then select Escalation Policies and Actions
- Select the Action tab then Add a new action and select Action type Send Email Fill out the information
- In the email message Right-click to add variable values to your email message $[Alert Severity] $[Alert Source]$[Alert ID]

- Ok to save the action.
- On the Policies tab, create a new policy to automate the email action.
