Agents and Metrics Clamps in DX O2

Issue/Introduction

Our current capacity has increased and we have noticed:

- many denied agents
- metric are clamped, not all metric information is displayed.

What are the default clamps values? How can we increase them?

Environment

• DX O2 SaaS
• DX O2 On-premise 2x

Resolution

DX O2 SaaS:

 

Default clamp values are:

 

- 10 collectors per tenant

- 1,000 agents per collector 

- 1,500,000 metrics per collector

- Traces get clamped/discarded based on trace store service utilization.  There is no hard clamp there and no tenant-balancing.

 

Contact Broadcom Support if you need to increase the default clamp values.
