Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to segment the XCOM.LOG file on Windows, so that at certain times during the day it swaps to a new file?

Environment

OS:  Windows.

Cause

-

Resolution

No.  One way to accomplish this is to create a batch job that will COPY the xcom.log followed by the execution of the

CLEANLOG utility and it should be scheduled to run everyday.  The CA XCOM CLEANLOG utility

will purge items older than the specified age.

For example, to purge items from the xcom.log that are older than 5 days you will issue the following command:

CLEANLOG 5
