XCOM Data Transport XCOM Data Transport - z/OS

Issue/Introduction

This is an enhancement to CA XCOM for z/OS.

Environment

Release: CA XCOM Data Transport-for z/OS
Component: XCMVS

Resolution

The enhancement to allow CA XCOM for z/OS to do this became available at CA XCOM for z/OS r11 SP1.

There is a new default table parameter REPCR to allow this functionality.

Setting this parameter to YES, specifies that CA XCOM for z/OS is to attempt to do a CREATE when receiving a transfer with FILEOPT=ADD or REPLACE and the dataset does not exist.

Setting this parameter to NO turns off this new functionality. The default setting for this parameter is NO.

Notes: The REPCR default parameter can be specified in the XCOMDFLT table or overridden on the XCOMJOB or XCOMXFER EXEC parameter. The value of REPCR can also be modified using the operator DFLT command.
