JOBS failing with RC 0044 in ESP Workload Automation Restart(Encore)

Issue/Introduction

Jobs abended with  RC 0044 in ESP ENCOR step with severe error message. We tried to re-run the job from top but again it got failed with SUBERROR.

        THE JOB YOU ARE TRYING TO RESTART CANNOT BE     
        FOUND IN THE ESP ENCORE EXECUTION HISTORY FILE. 
                                                        
        ESP ENCORE MAY NOT HAVE RECORDED THE EXECUTION  
        OF THAT JOB.  PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR ESP SYSTEM 
        ADMINISTRATOR TO SEE IF ESP ENCORE HAS STOPPED  
        RECORDING.  IF SO, ESP MAY NEED TO BE RE-CYCLED.

Cause

This is caused by using the R command, to "restart" the JCL error job.

If you choose "Y" for the RESTART, it will try to look for the previous run, which didn't happen because of the JCLERROR, and it will fail with RC=44. Because of the JCLERROR no EXH record was written.

Resolution

When restarting use R,  and in the next panel you have to select "N" for the RESTART, as this is INITIAL run, this generation of the job did not run yet.
