Issue/Introduction

Vertica installation or upgrade fail with this message:

DX NetOps Performance Management any version

Cause

Out of space on the filesystem where DR is being installed - e.g /opt

Resolution

That message

        installing package vertica-11.1.1-24.x86_64 needs 687MB on the /opt filesystem

actually means that the install needs 687MB on the /opt filesystem in addition to what it currently has, according to df -h

To resolve, free up space, or add more space, to the filesystem in question.
Then rerun the installation.
