APM 10.7 Hotfix 84 failed to apply and roll back

Issue/Introduction

we attempted to apply hotfix 84 on our mom and failed to apply and roll back. 

[main] INFO  com.ca.fix.command.Unzip - unzipping EM/APMInfrastructureMM.jar from patch.zip to /opt/apm/Introscope10.7.0.45/restored/hotfix/10.7.0-HF84/APMInfrastructureMM.jar

 [main] ERROR com.ca.fix.apm.hotfix.Hotfix - Error while executing the scenario
java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid CEN header (bad signature)

 

 

 

Environment

Release : 10.7.0

Cause

Per Engineering, the file APMInfrastructureMM.jar is corrupted

Resolution

Deleting the existing APMInfrastructureMM.jar file helped to complete the HF 84 implementation 

If the customer does not use this Management Module, then it's OK to move on without it.
