Issue/Introduction

Error "Could not find the main class - program will exit"  on the ServiceDesk configuration while configuring Web Services.

Environment

Release:  17.1 and higher
Component: CA Service Desk Manager

Cause

This happens when there are multiple java versions installed and the value of NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation is incorrectly set.

Resolution

Uninstall all the unsupported java versions and ensure that value for

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation is set to "0" which is the default.
