How does the Clarity Rally connector create items in Rally project

Issue/Introduction

Admin can map Rally Project field in Clarity to the Project field in Rally. The connector appears to be placing CIT in the first Project of the Workspace Team/Project Hierarchy even though you select a different project in the Rally Project field in Clarity on the Program CIT.

 

Resolution

When the CIT syncs to Rally (Clarity to Rally direction) the Project data is pushed to the Rally Team/Project Hierarchy via...
1) Uses the Rally user's default workspace\project entry to push CIT into default Project set for Rally Team/Project Hierarchy

2) However, if the default workspace\project setting is <<No Entry>> then the push sends the Rally Project to Rally and populates the value into Rally Team/Project Hierarchy in alphabetical/numerical order
