Issue/Introduction

It has been observed that as VMWare WorkspaceOne (WS1 - formerly Airwatch) tenants are upgraded, the REST API URL used to integrate with SEP Mobile may change following the upgrade to a newer version.

Environment

This has potential to impact SEP Mobile Management Consoles (MCs) integrated with WS1.

Cause

The REST API URL being changed appears to be a normal event upon upgrade of a WS1 tenant.  It is not known which specific versions may be impacted.  VMWare Support could comment on why the REST API URL is being updated and when to expect this change.

Resolution

The most obvious symptom if the REST API URL for WS1 is changed unexpectedly would be the device sync starting to fail in the MC.  If this is observed, please check the REST API URL in the WS1 console:

Settings > System > Advanced > REST API > REST API URL

Compare what is shown here with the "Server" URL shown in the MC under Settings > Integrations > AirWatch > Basic Setup and update the URL in the MC to match the URL in the WS1 console.
