Issue/Introduction

AppNeta On-Prem utilizes a Remote Maintenance Tunnel to allow for AppNeta vPCA SME's to access the vPCA.

It is also advised for customers to enable the tunnel when they check the HealthCheck API Endpoint and if it returns an unhealthy status.

Resolution

  • Customers are encouraged to regularly check the Healthcheck endpoint found in the vPCA Swagger Interface located at: https://<AppNeta On-Prem hostname>/admin
    • If the Healthcheck returns "Health: false" they should enable the Remote Maintenance Tunnel and contact Broadcom Support
    • The /admin swagger page can also be used for various activities such as viewing and changing the Hostname, IP Address, DNS information, NTP, SMNP and be used to enable/disable the Tunnel.

  • The Remote Maintenance Tunnel is also used for multiple functions:
    • Software Upgrades
    • License Provisioning
    • Account Management (Primarily Broadcom account related)
    • Security Updates
    • Configuration Management

If the Remote Maintenance Page on the vPCA hasn't been populated before, below are the necessary details:
