User creation error - Password required but we are using LDAP

Issue/Introduction


When creating a user it is asking me to provide "Password" for the user creation as a mandatory field.

LDAP/AD is integrated with the Spectrum OneClick. Earlier I don't see this issue before with 21.2.10. We recently upgraded to the latest release 22.2.6.

Is this a known behavior with current version or any issue?

Release : 22.2

Resolution

This was included in 22.2 due to vulnerabilities and hardening of systems.

You will have to specify a password, however it will use the LDAP for authentication still and ignore the password field.

If LDAP authentication is enabled, the spectrum password you set will work only if you set the "Allow user to log in with Spectrum password, if local authentication fails then go for LDAP authentication" to yes for that user.
