Fast Load for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Executing Fast Load for DB2 for z/OS (PFL) and the job completes with a RETURN CODE / CONDITION CODE of 4.
How to modify the Fast Load syntax to have the job end with a CONDITION CODE 0?

Resolution

In order to obtain a CONDITION CODE of 0 on a PFL execution:

  1. Add the QUICKCOPY keyword to take an image copy. (No IC taken will lead to the tablespace in COPYPENDING status and a CONDITION CODE of 4.)

    or

  2. Specify SET-COPYPENDING NO syntax in the PFL control cards to bypass setting of the COPYPENDING status and a COND CODE 0 will be
    returned.
