Issue/Introduction

When any Workflow project containing an Application Profile runs, the profile values are not loading correctly causing the project to fail. 

 

Environment

Release: 8.6

Cause

In 2018 the encryption/decryption algorithm for the password data type in application profiles was changed. 

Thus, after the upgrade, the decryptor is not capable of decrypting passwords encoded before the year 2018.  

 

Resolution

To resolve this issue any attribute in the Application Profile that is defined as a Password data type needs to have the password re-entered and then save the profile. This will cause the attributes value to be resaved using the new encryption method.
