Restore an Endevor archive to a non Endevor LPAR

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to exploit the file resulting from an Endevor Archive, on a partition where Endevor is not installed , in brief without the possibility of using the standard SCL RESTORE action?

Cause

The archive file is an Endevor-specific file that requires the use of the product utilities.

Resolution

Here is a solution that allow to achieve the requirement:

1. Create an Archive file on the Endevor Machine using the SCL action "ARCHIVE ELEMENT *".
2. Use SCL action "COPY ELEMENT * " to copy every archived element from the Archive file to a PDS or PDSe.
3. Transfer the PDS or PDSe to the requested LPAR using a file transfer utility (Example XCOM™ Data Transport®)
