ActiveMQ password change, give error Missing required parameter: reason

Issue/Introduction

When trying to change the ActiveMQ password gets the error :

ERROR PAM-CM-0167: Error updating Object: PAM-CM-0574: Missing required parameter: reason

Environment

Release : 4.1.x

Cause

This is because the default PVP policy, you get this error if the reason to change password is marked

Resolution

 

in order to fix, please go to Credentials - Workflow - Password View Policy

In the default password you will have this marked Reason Required for View

You unmark this setting and you will be able to change the password.

You can put/mark it back after it.
