Fast Recover for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Running Fast Recover for Db2 for z/OS (PFR) with SORTLOG NO, the job works fine but leaves the object broken (S04E) due to:
DSNU017I DSNUGBAC - UTILITY DATA BASE SERVICES MEMORY EXECUTION ABENDED, REASON=X'00E40347' CAUSE=X'00E4D5D2'

Resolution

For the best performance, include SORTLOG YES in the RECOVER TABLESPACE syntax.

Note:
Recover Using System-Level Backups

Rules and Limitations You must specify SORTLOG NO or SORTLOG CONCURRENT in the syntax. If an SLB is identified as a recovery base, SORTLOG YES automatically switches to SORTLOG NO processing

To recover from an inline image copy, you must specify SORTLOG NO or SORTLOG CONCURRENT. Log Apply is supported only when you specify SORTLOG YES.

Using SORTLOG YES in the syntax of the jobs is safe. Setting SORTLOG to YES resolved the problem.
