C1X0515E  REN IN SHIPPED PKG AND DEL IN SUPERSEDING PKG INDICATE OUT OF SEQUENCE CONDITION
RC=12  UNEXPECTED FORMAT COMBO (048)

This error only happens when attempting to ship a package with generate(s). When the same elements were shipped with move(SCL) in the package it worked.

Environment

Release : all

Cause

In the Endevor Messages manual it has this as the reason:

An operation was performed on a member, after the Package that is being shipped was executed, and before the superseding Package was executed. The member may have been updated in another Package, but under a different Element type. Another possibility is that the member was updated under the same Element name and type, but outside of Package processing.

This points to the footprint being bad or incorrect.

Resolution

Check the footprint(s) of the member with the error(s).

Ensure you are using a utility/parm that creates footprints.

If you are writing files to USS ensure you use the Endevor utility ENUSSUTL to do all actions like rename and delete. When this utility is used Endevor monitors the files. Use a utility like BPXBATCH if file monitoring is not desired.
