Server validation with web services url fails with E190098 and 403

Issue/Introduction

When trying to validate the server definition in WCC configuration tab which has Web Service URL defined, it fails with message

Error: E190098 <servername>  (web services validation) - A connection exception was encountered: 
https://<app_server_host>:9443/AEWS returned status 403.

 

Environment

Release : 12.0

Cause

For some reason, AEWS kept somehow the cache of old credential and did not release until bouncing AEWS.

Resolution

Check if Monitor Id is part of WorkloadAutomationAEWebService group.

Check if password of Monitor Id is correct.

If all correct, try the following step

Stop and restart the Autosys web server.
