Issue/Introduction

When attempting to download an ECDSA key, the following error occurs.

Error: Error occurred while accessing the database, see the Symantec PAM log for details.

Environment

Privileged Access Manager, 4.1.1 & 4.1.2

Cause

There is an issue with the openssl command that runs in the background when the key file is downloaded.

Resolution

This problem is fixed in 4.1.3+, see the following item on page Resolved Issues in 4.1.3:

User cannot download the ECDSA Private Key. Therefore, the User cannot download the key file to generate ECDSA certificates for their cluster.
