If a Change Order overlaps with an existing Blackout Window, the warning message is not very meaningful.
Is it possible to display the names of the Blackout Windows, instead of just "Change schedule is inside 1 blackout window"?
CA Service Desk Manager 17.x
All Supported Operating Systems
The file that controls the "Change schedule is inside 1 blackout window" message is NX_ROOT\bin\pdm.xml.
However, there is no out of the box way to dynamically control the content of this message.
Depending on the information Service Desk Manager administrator wants to include in the message, he/she can try changing in the file "detail_chg.htmpl", the function "schedule_validation", intercepting the variable "alertMessage" and adding whatever is needed within the context of the change.
Be advised that this type of customization is outside the scope of Broadcom Support.
In addition, this would be a great enhancement so we strongly encourage you to submit an enhancement request via the CA Service Management Community:
