Issue/Introduction

Want to know default subscription in CAS and ASG Products

Resolution

End-User who use CAS (Content Analysis System) and ASG (Advanced Security Gateway) products rely on various security features to ensure the safety of their network and data. Among the essential security features are file inspection, Symantec AV, and Clam AV subscriptions.

These security features are pre-installed on CAS and ASG appliances, and their subscription and expiration dates are linked to the appliance's support contract. If the support contract expires, the subscriptions for file inspection, Symantec AV, and Clam AV will also expire, leaving the network vulnerable to various security risks.

Therefore, it is essential for End-User's to renew their support contracts regularly to maintain the security features of their CAS and ASG appliances.

Q:  Will the File Inspection, Symantec subscription work if we link active FI-SYMC-SUB Add On with expired CAS and ASG appliances?

A:  NO, File Inspection, Symantec AV, and Clam AV subscriptions are default features in CAS and ASG products. The expiration date of these subscriptions is tied up to the appliance's support contract, and customers must renew the support contract to ensure continuous protection against security risks.
