WCC Upgrade Fails - The CA Workload Automation AE SDK cannot be installed

Issue/Introduction

WCC upgrade from 11.4 SP4 to 11.4 SP7 fails due to the following error...

The CA Workload Automation AE SDK cannot be installed on this computer for the
following reason:

 

An earlier version of CA Workload Automation AE is already installed. This
version of SDK cannot be installed.

 

The installation will now be cancelled.

 

 

Environment

Release : 11.4

Cause

This error occurs when there are other AutoSys components installed on the WCC server that are at a release older than 11.3.6 SP8. The WCC 11.4 SP7 installer attempts to install an AutoSys 11.3.6 SP8 SDK. If older AutoSys components exist, it is unable to installer this newer SDK due to conflict. 

Resolution

To resolve, first upgrade the other AutoSys components that are installed on the WCC server to 11.3.6 SP8 using the AutoSys iso. After that, the WCC 11.4 SP7 install or upgrade will be able to proceed.
