Issue/Introduction

WSS Agent used to access internet sites via Cloud SWG proxy.

MacOS and Windows users using this WSS Agent access method.

MacOS users with the WSS Agent installed cannot do screen mirroring, os use Airdrop / Airplay services e.g.

- mirroring the MacBook screen to an Android or Apple TV using the “Screen Mirroring” option fails with a 'Could not connect to "TV"' message.

- Connectivity errors displayed when sending a file via Airdrop

- enabling Airdrop never shows any devices despite a number of devices being available:

Environment

MacOS  11.x, 12.x, 13.x, 14.x, and 15.x versions.

All WSS Agent versions supported on MacOS platforms.

Cause

macOS issue with transparent proxy network extensions.
