Issue/Introduction

Users are getting an HTTP 500 when trying to bring up Web Viewer.

 

Environment

Release : 12.1

Web Viewer

Apache Tomcat

Linux RedHat

Cause

HTTP 500 means there is no connection to the Web Viewer Server

Tomcat was not up and running

Resolution

Found that Tomcat was not shut down properly and was not up and running successfully.
Shut down Tomcat with shutdown.sh and started with startup.sh.
This resolved the problem.
