SMG S-450 failed to boot up from USB drive

Issue/Introduction

Upon attempting to initiate the boot process of the SMG S-450, an error is encountered with the following description: "Partition error: failure reading sector 0x7740aa0 from 'hd5'"

Environment

Release: 10.8.0

Cause

The IOS file downloaded was corrupted.

Resolution

Download the image from Broadcom Support Portal > My downloads > Messaging Gateway > click on the proper release > download the file image.
