Issue/Introduction

While trying to reinstall PAM Proxy on a windows machine we were blocked from completing the uninstall. In an attempt to complete the uninstall we tried to simply remove the rest of the install folder and reboot the machine but now windows still believes this is installed so we cannot uninstall and we cannot reinstall.

Environment

Release : 4.1

Cause

Windows program manager still holds a reference to the install location and the pam proxy service is still registered.

Resolution

Toy can manually remove the service and then manually clean up windows program manager but in this case we were alble to copy the install folder from another PAM Proxy install and them rerun the uninstall without Carbon Black running and the uninstall completed and the install of the latest version was successful.
