In the process on installing Common Services (CCS) maintenance. 

What is the purpose of the CAW0SDF library? It is described as the 'side deck', but what components would use it?

What is the purpose of the CCCSXML and CAW0XML libraries?

Resolution

The CAW0SDF library contains "side deck" files.  They are used during the installation/maintenance of CCS and potentially by other products that may have LE C programs that use CCS functions. It is not a runtime library so does not need to be made accessible to any component or product for execution purposes. The CAS9F00, CAW1F00, and CFF6F00 components all utilize the CAW0SDF library.

The main purpose of the CCCSXML (similarly CAW0XML) library is to accommodate Chorus Software Manager (CSM) and specifically its software deployment/configuration capabilities. It is also used to hold information needed for workflows and the storage of information used by the SYSVIEW PTF Analysis tool.
