GSV3621E (MQSDATA) Exception Definition for MQCHMSGR failed. Invalid metric name

Issue/Introduction

I get the following error message when loading the updated MQ definitions (LOAD MQTHRESH membername   and LOAD MQSTATES membername)

   Error message:   "GSV3621E (MQSDATA) Exception definition for MQCHMSGR failed. Invalid metric name".  

Environment

Release : 17.0

Cause

Several of the metric names were changed with release 17.0.   These included:

MQCSBAT, MQCSBFRR, MQCSBRSF, MQCSBUFR, MQCSBUFS, MQCSBYRR, MQCSBYSR, MQCSBYTR, MQCSBYTS, MQCSMBAT, MQCSMSGR, MQCSMSGS, MQSINDT, MQCSSTAT.

Resolution

Review the thresholds and state definitions set up for MQCHMSGR.   In 17.0 that metric alias name was changed to MQCSMSGR and it's for the MQ_CHAN_MessagesRate metric name.

Recommend reviewing the list of metric changes in the section titled "Metric Aliases" on the "Upgrade MQ Channel Exception Definitions" page of the SYSVIEW Performance Management 17.0 Installing manual.
