System Error When Navigating To Project List Page

Clarity PPM On Premise

Issue/Introduction

When users click on the Classic UI > Home > Portfolio Management > Projects > select a project, the following generic error is received:

System error. Contact System administrator.

The APP logs show FATAL error example:

Environment

Release : 15.9.1

Resolution

Check the project name to see if any special characters, such as (â)  are present, and not in the ASCII character encoding standard table.
If so, remove it and click Save.
