Issue/Introduction

The following error message is received while attempting to migrate the settings from one VIP Enterprise Gateway server to another.

 

Environment

Release : Enterprise Gateway - 9.9.2

Resolution

The error indicated in the screenshot comes for two reasons:

  • If you are trying to import the settings from an Enterprise Gateway running on Linux to Windows or vice versa.
  • If you are trying to import the settings from Enterprise Gateway which is tied to one Jurisdiction Hash but importing in the Gateway which is tied to another Jurisdiction Hash.

In either of the above situations, you have to re-configure the Gateway as per your need. The below documentation talks about the configuration and limitations.
