What is the axis2 directory and can I delete it?

Issue/Introduction

In Applications Manager's web directory, an axis2 directory may exist, sometimes in a directory like $AW_HOME/Agents/web/axis2. It appears to have very old versions of files that could have vulnerabilities.  What is this used for and can it be deleted?

Release : 9.4.3

Component : CA Automic Applications Manager (AM)

Resolution

The axis2 directory was created and used by older Rapid Automation Agents. All major versions of RA Agents no longer use axis2. Current RA Agents use the following directories:

$AW_HOME/web/classes_alt
$AW_HOME/web/classes/inner_jarfiles

As current RA Agents no longer use the axis2 directory, the directory can be deleted.
